Good news for Windows Phone fans in countries other than the United States, as the next smartphone launched by HTC will be available worldwide.

Initially found on Verizon’s web servers, the Windows Phone version of HTC One W8 has been recently spotted on a Dutch website, WPCentral reports.

The HTC One W8 appearing at Telfort is a clear indication that the Taiwanese handset maker plans to launch the smartphone in more regions, not just the United States.

Since the device was found on Verizon’s website, we initially thought this would be another exclusive for the Big Red, and knowing that the two companies have a strong partnership regarding the release of such high-end smartphones, we didn’t think it would be possible for HTC to launch its Windows Phone in other countries until the exclusivity ended.

While Verizon may still be the only carrier to offer HTC’s One W8 in the United States, the smartphone will definitely be available in other countries as well around the same timeframe.

Speaking of which, rumor has it that HTC plans to officially introduce the Windows Phone version of One M8 on August 21, but it’s unclear whether or not the handset will go on sale the same day.

Another hint to HTC One W8’s global availability is the fact that the smartphone was recently spotted at GSM Global Certification Forum with European LTE Bands 7 and 13.

These are clear indications that the smartphone will be rolled out worldwide, possibly in stages. Price-wise, it will be interesting to see whether or not HTC will make it available for a cheaper amount than its Android counterpart, but maintaining the high-end specs.

For your information, the HTC One M8 is equipped with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone also packs 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB). The Android handset sports a hyper-vibrant 5-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for extra protection.

The HTC One W8 is expected to ship with the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box, which means the smartphone will be eligible for the latest GDR1 update that has just been released by Microsoft.

We will keep an eye out for any additional details on the HTC One W8, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter. Would you purchase a HTC One M8 with Windows Phone?

Update: The image that showed up on Telfort's website seems to be the same mock-up published by WindowsPhoneDaily.com, which you can see below. This means HTC One W8 might not be available worldwide after all.
