Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has started the rollout of the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS upgrade for the owners of the single-SIM HTC One in its homeland market, only days after the dual-SIM variant of the device received it.

At the moment, the software update arrives on handsets as build 2.24.709.1 and provides users with all the enhancements that the dual-SIM flavor received.

This includes a series of improvements to the launch bar, along with lock-screen widgets, some new home button options, an updated quick settings panel in notification shade, as well as a better camera app, AndroidCentral reports.

Users will be notified on the availability of the update, but they can also check for it manually, by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.

HTC One should receive the update in other markets as well in the near future, although no official announcement on this has been made. In Europe, the OS upgrade should arrive as build number 2.24.401.1, it seems.
