Owners of HTC’s One S smartphone will certainly be disappointed to learn that their handsets will be left behind with software updates, a state of facts already confirmed by HTC itself.

Following a series of rumors regarding the possibility that HTC won’t update the smartphone to the latest version of Android out there, an official confirmation was spotted on HTC France’s Facebook page, putting all rumors to a rest.

No Android 4.2 Jelly Bean upgrade will arrive on HTC One S, or a Sense 5 update for that matter, it seems.

Apparently, a series of undisclosed technical issues are preventing HTC from being able to bring the newer platform version to this device. It’s yet uncertain whether this affects all HTC One S devices out there, or only units in specific markets, but more on this should be unveiled soon, so stay tuned.
