Regional carrier SaskTel has just introduced the HTC One S Roughriders Edition in Canada. The smartphone is exclusively available on its airwave, for as low as $99.99 CAD with a new three-year voice and data plan.

Customers who prefer to grab this special edition HTC One S on prepaid, can do so for $549.99 CAD upfront. SaskTel offers other pricing options as well, so buyers can choose to acquire the smartphone for $449.99 CAD with a new two-year plan or for $499.99 CAD on a one-year term.

HTC One S Roughriders Edition is powered by the same Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system as the standard version, but the former comes with a few extras, such as a free Rider case and pre-loaded content.

There are three special apps pre-installed on the SaskTel’s HTC One S smartphone: Riders Widget, Rider App and Content Locker.

With Rider Widget, users will be provided with the latest live scoreboard updates right on their home screen.

The Rider App is basically the official Roughriders mobile app, which offers team’s fans a complete league schedule, past game results, statistics, team roster, player info, news, video interviews, game day forecasts and more!

Last but not least, Content Locker enables access to free wallpapers and ringtones exclusively available for free for the HTC One S Roughriders Edition owners.

Hardware-wise, HTC One S Roughriders Edition is equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260A Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, an Adreno 225 GPU, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.

There’s also an 8-megapixel rear photo snapper enhanced with HTC SenseImage technology, as well as a secondary VGA front facing camera for video calls.

According to the carrier, the phone’s 1650 mAh Li-Polymer battery should provide up to 22 days of standby time or up to 7 hours of talk time. Check it out here.
