HTC One S has already been confirmed for Canadian carrier Virgin Mobile, but the network operator has yet to announce the exact release date of the smartphone.

However, HTC mentioned that the One would be available on the market in two months, which means it should hit shelves at Virgin Mobile and other Canadian carriers, including TELUS, Fido and Bell, in late April.

With only a month left until the HTC One S is expected to arrive in store, Virgin Mobile is readying all the necessary accessories for the smartphone.

The folks at MobileSyrup have just been tipped on a certain iShieldz Screen protector for HTC Ville (HTC One S), which has just popped up in Virgin Mobile’s inventory system.

The accessory will be available for $22,95 CAD, probably as soon as the HTC One S goes on sale next month. Even though this doesn’t confirm the release date of the smartphone, at least it’s an indication that HTC One S launch is imminent.

It appears that HTC One S will be the first smartphone with Beats Audio launched in Canada. The smartphone will be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board and HTC Sense UI on top.

Hardware-wise, the One S is equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260A Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, and an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit.

This seems to be the same CPU that powers AT&T’s HTC One XL smartphone, which is expected to arrive in the United States in mid-May.

Also known as Snapdragon S4 Krait, Qualcomm’s dual-core processors has been recently benchmarked and seems to outperform Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core CPU.

Las but not least, HTC One S sports a hyper-vibrant 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.
