AT&T's version will receive the update very soon as well

HTC has promised earlier this week that it will bring the T-Mobile and AT&T versions of One to Android 4.4.2 KitKat in the next couple of days and it looks like the Taiwanese company has partially kept its promise.

HTC USA's Mohammed Versi confirmed several hours ago that both AT&T and T-Mobile gave their technical approval for the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for HTC One.

That means that the update should go live in a matter of hours. However, for the time being, only T-Mobile customers can download and install Android 4.4.2 KitKat on their HTC One smartphones.

There haven't been any reports coming from AT&T customers that the highly anticipated KitKat update for HTC One may be available for download.

Still, we expect Android 4.4.2 KitKat to arrive at AT&T very soon. As expected, the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so it might not arrive on all HTC One devices at the same time, but keep checking for it until it becomes available.
