HTC One, the latest flagship Android-based smartphone from Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC, has received the EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) award for “Best European Advanced Smartphone 2013-2014,” the company announced.

The smartphone was distinguished for its aluminum design, its 4.7-inch full HD touchscreen display, and the appealing imaging capabilities it packs inside, including HTC’s unique Zoe capability, HTC announced.

The award also shows that HTC One is capable of leading the competition on design, imaging and audio experience on smartphones, the company says.

The phone is considered to be a device that everyone will try to beat in the future, and has also been praised for the HTC Sense user interface that it has been packed with.

HTC One with Sense “offers a unique user experience, including 'BlinkFeed' which fills the home screen with a personalized stream of news feeds, updates from social networks, photos and videos,” EISA acknowledged.

Furthermore, the smartphone’s 4MP UltraPixel camera managed to impress the EISA judges as well, given its improved light sensitivity and features such as Optical Image Stabilization, Macro and HDR support.

The phone also comes with a series of pre-installed camera applications, including Zoe, which was designed to shoot up to 20 photos plus a 3-second video in one go.

Furthermore, the HTC One can offer a great audio experience courtesy of its front stereo speakers, which pack Dr. Dre's Beats Audio technology.

“We are delighted that six months after launch, the HTC One continues to be recognised as the best phone on the market,” said Peter Chou, CEO, HTC.

“We are committed to continuing to drive the industry forward in all areas of the mobile experience and this award is a testament to the hard work of our designers and engineers who never stop developing the next breakthrough innovation that will propel the industry into the next era of mobile communication and entertainment.”

Since its official unveiling in February, HTC One has managed to receive various industry awards, including GSMA’s “Best Mobile Handset, Device, or Tablet” at MWC 2013, and Computex Taipei’s Gold Medal award for Design & Innovation.
