Yesterday, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation officially unveiled its new Android-based flagship handset, the HTC One, and praised new camera capabilities packed inside the phone.

To be more precise, the company has packed the new smartphone with a 4-megapixel camera sensor on the back, using the UltraPixel technology and claiming that it could deliver much better photo quality than other smartphones.

Shots taken with HTC One’s camera should offer increased level of detail and be cleaner, the company said, while also publishing a series of photo samples on its website to prove that.

The guys over at MobileSyrup, however, managed to test the new feature first-hand, and unveiled that photos taken with the device are 4MP in size, while weighing 1.2MB each.

However, the photos are better when compared to those taken with Nexus 4, it seems, while the 1080p video shot with HTC One looks great as well.
