As expected, HTC One max has finally made its debut at Australian carrier Telstra. The phablet was initially launched in the UK and recently got released in the United States.

Customers in Australia will now be able to purchase the HTC One max for free on select plans ranging from $74 (€50) to $130 (€85) per month, AusDroid reports.

Keep in mind though that some plans offer greater advantages over others. For example, customers who purchase the HTC One max with Small Plan will have to pay an extra $14 (€9.5) per month, while the Medium Plan requires an extra $4 (€2.7) per month.

Moreover, those who grab the phone with the Large Plan will come up with extra $3 (€2) per month, whereas customers who opt for the Extra Large Plan won’t have to pay anything extra.

Telstra will ship the HTC One max with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system onboard, but we suspect that the Taiwanese handset maker will offer an Android 4.4 KitKat update at some point next year.

Hardware-wise, the One max comes equipped with a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor inside, along with an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Although Telstra only sells the 16GB model, a 32GB variant has been confirmed by HTC as well. That should not matter too much though as HTC One max comes with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

The usual 4-UltraPixel camera on the back features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. There’s also a secondary 2.1-megapixel camera in the front for video calls.

One of the phone’s main selling points is the huge 5.9-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Another strong point is the fingerprint scanner. For more details on the phablet’s features, check out our database for HTC One max full specs.
