We reported yesterday about a new high-end smartphone that HTC plans to launch in the coming months, the One ME9.

HTC One ME9 is a plastic version of the company's flagship smartphone, the One M9. However, the upcoming handset has a few more differences in comparison to the One M9, which are mostly on the positive side.

Since just about all the specs of the One ME9 leaked a few days ago, the only thing that remained was to see what the smartphone might look like. The pictures from the TENAA gave us an idea, but now @upleaks published a press render of the HTC One ME9.

Apart from that, there's no new info on its availability and pricing options. The HTC One ME9 is still not going to be released in EMEA and North America.

However, rumor has it that the smartphone will make its debut in India, Hong Kong and Taiwan sometime in July.

Other Asian countries might get the One ME9 in July as well, but for the time being there are the only countries that have been “confirmed” by the rumor mill.

It packs a Quad HD display and 3GB RAM

When it comes to specs, HTC One ME9 is said to come equipped with an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor, the same that powers the One M9+, as well as 3GB of RAM.

The smartphone packs 32GB of internal memory, and possibly microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).

Another improvement over the One M9 is the 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the back, the device boasts a 20-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 4-UltraPixel camera for video calls and selfies.

HTC One ME9 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with Sense 7.0 on top. It will be available in Classic Rose Gold, Gold Sepia and Meteor Grey for about $565 outright.
