MWC 2015 is the next big tech event on the horizon and we already expect to see Samsung unveil the Galaxy S6 and HTC launch the One M9 (Hima) flagship.

We talked about Hima quite extensively yesterday, when a bunch of press renders leaked online, showing the purported back of the device and a case accessory that outlines the angular camera on the back.

The upcoming HTC top-of-the-line phone is anticipated to take advantage of a 20MP frontal shooter and taking over the selfie duties is a 13MP frontal camera.

The HTC One (M8) has been often criticized for its under-performing UltraPixel camera, which a lot of folks have been hoping will get replaced in the next flagship.

Here's a bunch of photos taken with Hima's main camera

Well, a month or so before Hima is expected to go live, the preliminary camera samples have leaked into the wild.

The full gallery can be found on Flickr. The images have apparently been taken by an HTC employee. As you can see, the images depict an office and things you’d normally find around such an environment like snacks, laptops and pens.

The images come to us at a resolution of 3,024 x 5,376 pixels which seems to pinpoint to the fact that they have been taken with a 16MP camera. Unless, they have been cropped out to fit a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Which means that in their original state they were slightly bigger, an aspect that supports the theory of a 20MP shooter.

On the other hand, the HTC One (M8) shoots in 16:9 aspect ratio by default, which means the 16MP frontal snapper theory might still hold some ground.

Anyway, take a look at the samples, but don’t expect something overly artistic, these are plain shots of common objects you find around the house. And don’t forget, take them with a big grain of salt.
