The smartphone will be available in four color options
Good news for HTC fans in the United States, as the Taiwanese handset maker is determined to kick off sales for its new flagship smartphone today. While the All New HTC One will be available for purchase via HTC’s official website, customers will be able to choose from no less than four carriers.
The folks over at Droid-life report that according to a “Buy Now” landing page that’s been up on HTC’s website, the smartphone will be available for order beginning 1PM Eastern (10AM Pacific) time.
The same landing page also mentions that the All New HTC One will be available at Verizon Wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. However, there are no details on the release dates for each carrier, which most certainly are different.
We learned a few days ago that Verizon would be the only carrier to sell the All New HTC One in the United States for at least two weeks since its reveal.
Potential customers will be able to order the smartphone from other carriers, but they will receive their devices much later next month.
But the good things don’t stop here. Inside the code of the landing page there are mentions of All New HTC One Developer and Google Play Editions, which will probably go on sale today as well.
Customers should also know that the All New HTC One will be available in four color options: gun metal gray, silver, gold, and black. However, it’s possible that some of these color options will be exclusive to some carriers.
Last but not least, there’s also mention of an HTC Dot View case, which appears to be a compatible accessory for the All New HTC One. These cases might be available for purchase starting today as well.
Keep in mind though that this information has yet to be confirmed by HTC, so take it with a grain of salt. Some of the details mentioned earlier were leaked weeks ago, but there’s also new stuff that should be made official in the coming hours or days.
In the same piece of news, the All New HTC One will also be available for purchase in the UK beginning today via Carphone Warehouse. Details about the price tag should go live in the next hour or so.
[UPDATE]: HTC has just confirmed the HTC One M8 will be available for purchase online starting today at Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. The smartphone will only be available at Verizon brick and mortar stores.
For Canadian customers the HTC One M8 is available for purchase online at Rogers, Bell and TELUS starting today. All sales start at 1PM Eastern (10AM Pacific) time.
