Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has started to deliver a new software update for the owners of HTC One M8 devices in Europe, in the form of firmware version 1.54.401.10.

The new update will arrive on devices as a 66.71MB file, and it is already available for download on markets such as Germany, the UK, and others.

The new firmware release arrives on smartphones over the air and was destined to provide users with a variety of improvements, including various radio stability enhancements, it seems.

According to a recent post on GSMArena, the new update also lands on handsets with improvements to some of the core applications.

Thus, after installing the new firmware release, HTC One M8 users in Europe will see that the Camera app has received a series of stability enhancements, and that the Video Highlight and FM Radio software have received the same treatment.

Moreover, the update brings along a new flavor of the Weather app barometer, it seems. Users should receive a notification on the availability of the firmware refresh on their handsets, and they will be able to kick the download process right away.
