Owners of HTC One M8 smartphones in Europe should be receiving a new update on their devices, in the form of the Android 4.4.3 KitKat platform upgrade.

The new software release was officially announced for the United States last week, when it also started rolling out to smartphones, and it is now being pushed to even more users out there.

According to a recent tweet coming from LlabTooFeR, the new update is being delivered to users in the form of software version 2.22.401.4 and weighs no less than 613.74MB.

The new platform release arrives on HTC One M8 smartphones with all of the features and enhancements that the Android 4.4.3 and Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS versions were announced with, as HTC has decided to merge them both in a single firmware refresh.

The platform upgrade will be arriving on smartphones over-the-air, which means that users might want to connect to a Wi-Fi network before kicking off the download process, considering that it is a fairly large update.

Android 4.4.3 KitKat is rolling out to HTC One M8 in stages, which means that some users will need to wait several days or longer before receiving it. More on the matter should emerge soon, so stay tuned.
