The handset has seen an in-store exclusivity at Verizon so far

Starting today, mobile phone users in the United States interested in the purchase of the new HTC One M8 flagship device from the Taiwanese phone maker can find it available in stores at more wireless carriers in the country.

The handset was made official on March 25, when operators in the country started selling it, though Verizon was the only one to have also released it though its stores.

Starting today, however, that changes, as AT&T and Sprint have both kicked off in-store sales of the new smartphone. Moreover, the device can be found at various retailers in the country as well, it seems.

T-Mobile is the only large wireless carrier in the United States not to have released the phone as of now, online or in-store. Its customers will have to wait for April 11 to arrive before being able to grab the device.

As slashgear notes, however, the availability of HTC One M8 through carriers and retailers shows that the Taiwanese vendor has finally managed to beat Samsung with an early release, something that did not happen with the original HTC One.

HTC One M8 sports a 5-inch full HD touchscreen, a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. The handset also arrives on the market with twin cameras on the back, a 5MP front camera for video calling, and the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system loaded on top.
