HTC One M8, the latest flagship Android-based device from Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC, is expected to arrive on shelves at wireless carrier Sprint in a brand new version in the not too distant future.

No official info on the matter has been provided as of now, but a recent tweet coming from infamous tipster @evleaks claims that things will indeed turn out this way.

According to said message, Sprint will add to its offering a special HTC One M8 Harman/Kardon edition, though no other details on the matter have been provided as of now.

Should this rumor pan out, it remains to be seen what price tag the device will feature when released and whether other changes will be included inside it as well. Undoubtedly, the music experience will be a bit different than what the original can offer.

At the same time, as PhoneArena notes, it will be interesting to see whether HTC decides to include Harman Kardon in other devices as well moving forth.

For the time being, however, the special edition device appears to be a Sprint exclusive, even if an official confirmation on it hasn’t emerged as of now.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before HTC formally introduces the handset, so stay tuned for more on the matter.

Update: Apparently, HTC One M8 has already arrived at Sprint with Harman Kardon speakers inside, despite the fact that the wireless carrier did not say a word about it.

According to a post on the XDA-Developers Forum, HTC and Sprint are currently working on getting all the legal agreements on this in the right order, and they should start marketing the phone as packing Harman/Kardon inside as soon as that happens.

Moreover, the feature is said to be indeed exclusive to the Sprint version of the device, and that users will find Harman/Kardon technology options in the BoomSound setup, as the screenshot below reveals (available courtesy of forum member Rydah805).
