Only hours before its official unveiling, the new HTC One 2014 (All New HTC One, HTC M8), has made an official appearance at the Global Certification Forum, which lifts any shadow of a doubt that might have been there regarding the existence of the phone.

The mobile phone is listed at the GCF as HTC One (M8), and appears to have received certification today. You can see the listing on this page on the GCF website.

The certification forum does not offer too many details on the capabilities of the device – not that there was any need for it to do so –, but it does unveil specific info on the connectivity capabilities that it will arrive on shelves with.

Thus, we know that the device was approved with support for GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 bands; EDGE Class 12; 3G/HSPA 2100, 1900, 850, 900; and LTE 1800, 2600, 900, 800 frequencies.

In addition to receiving GCF blessings, the new smartphone was also spotted in the CamSpeed database, though it appears that it did not manage to impress that much when compared to last year’s model.

According to a tweet from Sofica Ltd, the mobile phone emerged there with a 4.1-megapixel camera on the back, with F2.0 lens, while running under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

In another tweet, the company claims that the device actually appears to be providing the same performance capabilities as its predecessor, at least when speed is concerned.

In fact, the camera on the All New HTC One is said to be launching slower than the app available on HTC One. When it comes to actually taking a photo, the new device is said to be faster than last year’s phone.

HTC One 2014 is capable of snapping photos at a 2688 x 1520 pixels resolution, it seems. Moreover, it can record videos in 1080p resolution at 60 fps, it seems.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the upcoming mobile phone is expected to arrive on the market with twin 4MP UltraPixel cameras on the back, which should allow it to deliver a much better imaging experience when compared to last year’s model.

The smartphone will also pack a 5MP camera on the front, which should allow it to offer great video calling capabilities as well. There are only several hours left until HTC makes the smartphone official, so stay tuned to learn more on it.
