Soon, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation should officially announce the upcoming availability of a new flagship device in the popular One series, yet no specific info on what it would look like has been provided as of now.

Many of the latest reports on the device suggested that it could sport the same looks as the HTC One, while others claimed that HTC might be set to adopt a new design for it, yet we’re still left in the dark in this regard.

Designer Nikolai Prettner, however, decided to take the matter into his own hands and came up with a concept phone that would provide us with a glimpse at what HTC might announce soon, called HTC One M8.

Right from the start, however, keep in mind that this is only one enthusiast’s vision of the device, and that the smartphone might end up looking completely different in the end.

One thing that is certain, however, is the fact that the handset in the designer’s photo looks highly appealing, especially given the thin bezel and the dual-LED flash camera that it sports.

At the same time, you’ll notice that the phone does not feature physical buttons, which makes room for some more display on its front. The on-screen Android buttons will certainly do their job nicely, the designer seems to suggest.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the upcoming HTC M8 (supposedly set to hit shelves as One+) is expected to be larger than last year’s flagship and to pack upgraded hardware specifications as well.

Among them, we can count the presence of two camera sensors on its back, capable of providing users with some more UltraPixel power compared to the predecessor.

Until an official confirmation on the upcoming handset is provided, we’ll take the info with a grain of salt. However, the HTC One M8 concept device that can be seen in the photo above is here to stay, albeit it is not an official render.
