Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC has made its HTC One flagship handset official in its homeland market, as it plans to start selling it there before the end of this month.

The company also made official the price tag for the device, announcing it in three flavors, with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of internal memory, respectively.

Users in the country will be able to purchase the handset at 19,900 TWD (around $670 / €515) if they want the 16GB model, and will have to pay 21,900 TWD (about $735 / €570) for the 32GB flavor. The 64GB variant, however, will cost 24,900 TWD ($840 / €645).

As UnwiredView notes, these prices are for Taiwan only, and show that the 64GB version of HTC One is cheaper than the unlocked iPhone 5 64GB, which costs 28,900 TWD ($975 / €750).

Made official on February 19, the HTC One flagship smartphone arrives on shelves with a 4.7-inch Full HD display that can deliver a 469ppi pixel density, as well as with a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor packed inside.

The smartphone also arrives on the market with 2GB of RAM, as well as with a 4MP UltraPixels photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, complemented by a 2.1MP camera on the front, for making video calls.

HTC also packed its new flagship device with 4G LTE connectivity, as well as with HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB v2.0 (MHL), DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC, GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

Furthermore, the device sports a Li-Po 2300 mAh battery inside, dual-speakers on the front, along with dual-microphones, Beats Audio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for screen protection.

HTC One was announced with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and with HTC’s new Sense 5.0 user interface loaded on top. The handset will receive an upgrade to Android 4.2.2, HTC also announced.
