HTC fans in the United States rejoice, as the Taiwanese company is getting ready to launch yet another high-end Android smartphone in the country, the One E8.

The handset maker announced a few days ago that the HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610 would also be available for purchase in the United States through Virgin Mobile and AT&T carriers, as well as via its online store.

However, the One E8 is aimed at top tier smartphone market, which puts it in the same league with HTC's flagship smartphone, the new One M8.

In fact, the One E8 is almost similar in specs with HTC One M8, but it comes with a plastic body instead of the metallic one packed in the latter's chassis.

The good news is that HTC One E8 might be priced a lot cheaper than the One M8, which will probably allow more Android fans to get their hands on a high-end smartphone released by HTC.

Sadly, we can't be sure whether or not HTC One E8 will offer dual-SIM capability. The original model that was released back in June in Europe and Asia has this feature packed inside, but it's unclear if Sprint's variant will have dual-SIM support.

Sprint recently published a video advert of HTC One E8 on its YouTube channel, even though the smartphone hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Still, it appears that the ad has been since pulled, but the folks over at AndroidCentral managed to get a glimpse of it and shared the news with the world.

For those unaware, HTC One E8 will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box. The handset is equipped with the same powerful 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 graphics processing unit, and 2GB of RAM, as the One M8.

However, while the HTC One M8 features a dual 4-UltraPixel camera on the back, the One E8 boasts a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, and full HD (1080p) video recording. Both high-end smartphones pack 5-megapixel cameras on the front.

HTC One E8 also sports a vibrant 5-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The phone offers a wide range of connectivity options, including LTE Cat.4, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB, GPS with A-GPS support, and NFC (Near Field Communication). Just like the One M8, HTC One E8 is powered by a non-removable 2600 mAh battery.
