Although HTC One won’t hit shelves until next month, that didn’t stop authorized retailers in Australia to start taking pre-orders.

The guys over at AusDroid have just learned that Harvey Norman now accepts pre-orders for HTC One. The smartphone is available for pre-purchase for $745/€580 off contract, which is about the same amount that Sony Mobile is asking for its Xperia Z flagship smartphone. Check it out here.

For the time being, the Australian retailer does not offer any availability dates, but we expect that more details will surface in the next few weeks.

HTC One is supposed to be the first smartphone to come to market with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S600 processor.

The device packs 2GB of RAM and a 4 UltraPixels camera with lots of goodies inside. More details on the phone’s specs sheet are available here.
