It's no surprise HTC is readying its next flagship smartphone codename One 2. Rumors on the upcoming device have already started flying around, though we're still not sure what HTC plans to surprise Android fans with.

The folks over at Slashgear have just stumbled upon a few live pictures of a 3D printed mock up of the alleged HTC One 2. The photos have been published on Weibo and indicates HTC is preparing to launch a slightly larger version of HTC One.

The so-called HTC One 2 will probably feature a 5-inch full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display. There's no word on the chipset HTC will choose for its next flagship smarpthone, but it could include the much more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU rather than the Snapdragon 800 variant.

If HTC decides to go with the more powerful chipset, it will also be able to improve the quality of the display, as Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 chipset supports 4K resolutions.

The phone is said to sport a 4-UltraPixel camera on the back with autofocus, LED flash (possibly dual-LED) and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there will be a 2.1-megapixel camera for video calls.

Obviously, it will ship with the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat and will probably be available in multiple version (16GB, 32GB). MicroSD card slot might be included this time as well, unlike the HTC One

Just like the HTC One, the follow-up will be packed with two BoomSound speakers placed on the front side of the devices: one below the display and the other one above it.

The HTC One 2 has been tipped for a Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 official reveal, though more details on the release date will probably be available as we're getting close to trade fair's opening.
