The dream smartphone

HTC Omni has high chances of turning out to be one of the most evolved smartphone solutions coming from this handset producer until now. After the iPhone's release, they plan on bringing an even more evolved device, as specifications show.

Ever thought of owning a mobile phone which comes with a 4 inch display screen and also with a QWERTY keypad? That's just about what HTC Omni has to offer, along with its 800 x 480 pixels resolution. Of course, it will be a touchscreen, just as to take all the boasting arguments for the iPhone.

This smartphone will also come in small sizes, at only 81 x 130 x 16 mm. When comparing this with what it can do, HTC Omni leaves the impression of being quite compact.

Another thing which the iPhone lacks is this handset's 3.1 megapixel camera with LED flash. There is also a secondary 640 x 480 VGA camera designed especially for placing video calls.

HTC Omni will run on Windows Mobile 6.0 and use a 384 Mhz CPU Clock. Moreover, it will have 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM. To provide the right amount of memory, which will surely be a considerably large one, the smartphone will also have a microSD card slot available.

Connectivity is available through Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0, which manages to provide data transfer speeds of up to 60Mbit/s. WiFi services will also be packed, along with GPS services. Aside this, the handset is also capable of TV-in and TV-out performances. It looks like people at HTC have thought of everything, which makes this handset just too good to be true. If all these specifications are indeed real and such a device will soon hit the markets, it will most probably come for a fairly high price.

HTC Omni sounds like the dream smartphone for making the iPhone explode with envy. Unfortunately, this won't happen very soon, as HTC has mentioned nothing on the close release of this fully capable handset.
