Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is expected to launch its first Windows Phone Mango-based devices as soon as this week, and the HTC Omega is expected to be one of them. The smartphone has made it to the headlines quite a few times before, and it seems that it should not be too long before HTC makes it official as HTC Radar, especially now that new photos with it are available online.

The handset was spotted all dressed up in white on an Algerian auction site, where it was listed for only 370 Euros. Apparently legit, the handset's emergence on the said website confirms the fact that it will indeed arrive on the market in a white flavor, and that HTC is already testing it in real world environments.

As stated above, some of the latest rumors on this device suggested that it should be unveiled to the world as soon as September 1st, and that it will be accompanied by the HTC Eternity, which should be named Titan when available.

The specifications list of HTC Omega reportedly includes a 1.5GHz application processor (Snapdragon MSM8255), along with 512MB of RAM, and a 3.8-inch SLCD touchscreen display.

Moreover, it should sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a front-facing camera for video calling.

The HTC Omega is only one of the upcoming Windows Phone Mango smartphones that will include front-facer, rumor has it.

As soon as the new OS flavor arrives on shelves, the capabilities of Microsoft's platform will be enhanced with support for video calling, doubled by Skype integration so that the feature is even easier to use.

All these features and some other more will be officially unveiled later this week when the mobile phone is launched, but we'll take the available info on it, as well as the legitimacy of its appearance on the said auction site with a grain of salt for the time being. (via)
