HTC is one of the mobile phone makers which will come to the market with handsets running under Microsoft's new Windows Phone Mango operating system flavor, and HTC Omega is one of the first such mobile phones from the company. HTC Omega has made it to the headlines a few times before, as various details on it emerged, and can now be admired in what appears to be the first press photo that leaked with it.

The handset should turn out to be quite a powerful smartphone when made available for purchase later during this year, and might sport the name of HTC Radar when that happens, it seems.

The mobile phone is reportedly headed to the market in a white/silver color combination, and might become official no later that next week, during an HTC event that was already announced on Facebook.

Most probably, the smartphone would arrive on shelves with an aluminum body, yet confirmation on this has not emerged until now.

Some info on the hardware specifications for HTC Omega did make an appearance into the wild, pointing at a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 application processor being packed inside it. Most probably, this is a single-core chip.

The mobile phone will also include 512MB of RAM, as well as a 3.8-inch SLCD touchscreen display on the front.

Moreover, it should pack an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording, complemented by a front-facing camera that would enable video calling.

Windows Phone Mango has been rumored lately to bring along support for front cameras, expected to be put to good use as soon as Skype lands on the OS.

No specific info on when the mobile phone might be released on shelves is known, but chances are that we could learn all the necessary details on this next week, during the event HTC announced for September 1st, when they might announce HTC Eternity as well, another Mango device.
