Both device models will arrive on shelves on August 7
Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has finally decided to officially announce the upcoming availability of two new color flavors of its HTC One M8 flagship handset in the UK.After the phone was released in the country in late March in color flavors such as Amber Gold and Metal Grey, users in the UK will be able to purchase it in Red and Pink versions starting with the beginning of the next month.
According to HTC, the Red variant of HTC One M8 will be available exclusively on O2 starting August 5 (one day later than initially reported). However, it appears that only pre-sales will kick off on that day, and that the phone will be available in stores starting August 7.
The Pink variant of the flagship device will be released exclusively through Carphone Warehouse and will land on shelves on August 7 as well.
However, users interested in getting this flavor of the device will be able to pre-order it as soon as July 25. They will also be in for a treat, as the device will ship with a free HTC Dot View case, the company has announced.
According to HTC, both these new flavors of HTC One M8 arrive on shelves as enhancements to the brushed metal, curved unibody design that the original variants were released with.
The new Red and Pink models will arrive with all of the premium features and hardware capabilities that the HTC One M8 was made available with earlier this year.
“We introduced a range of bold colors to the One family last year and their popularity is testament to how important it is for our users to be able to select a shade that suits their style,” Peter Frolund, UK and Nordics General Manager, HTC said.
“The HTC One M8 impressed everyone with its unrivalled design and we decided to make it even better by offering even more choice when selecting the best smartphone in the world.”
The HTC One M8 is equipped with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, while being powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.
The mobile phone comes to the market with a dual 4MP camera setup on the back, while also featuring a 5MP front camera for making video calls and taking selfies while on the go.
Additionally, the handset includes features and specs exclusive to HTC devices, such as dual-frontal speakers with HTC BoomSound, HTC BlinkFeed, HTC’s UltraPixel technology, HTC Motion Launch, and more.
