Only some Mozart devices will benefit from it, depending on the carrier

HTC Mozart is one of the Windows Phone handsets that got enhanced via a software update lately, with an “Internet Sharing” option in the Settings page emerging on phones in some markets around the world, including India.

Through this new feature, users can turn their phones into portable hotspots to connect more devices to the Internet, the same as could owners of other Windows Phone devices, or those of Android phones.

Microsoft is currently rolling-out the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system to devices that have been pushed to shelves with its mobile OS on board in the past year or so, but that did not stop manufacturers from delivering their own software updates for these devices.

The availability of firmware updates for the various Windows Phone handsets out there was already confirmed, and the bits have now started to land on devices, with Mozart being one to receive the update among the first.

However, not all Mozart units are seeing the new feature showing up in the Settings menu, since it all depends on whether the carrier allows it or not.
