Mobile phone users in the United States should be able to try out handsets running under Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 operating system starting with the next month, and it seems that the HTC Mondrian might be one of these devices.

The mobile phone already made it to the headlines a few times before, and it can be admired in a new photo, one that shows it would land on AT&T's shelves in the country.

The new photo of HTC Mondrian with Windows Phone 7 emerged over at 911sniper, who has a history of leaking legit content on HTC's devices, which suggests that this would indeed be the real deal.

We've already had the chance to take a look at the new device before, since it emerged both in leaked photos, as well as in a promo video last month, but the new photo is meant to confirm the handset's availability on AT&T's network too, it seems.

Not only does the carrier's logo appear on the front of the device, but there are also two tiles that point towards the operator on the phone's screen, including that large AT&T U-verse Mobile tile that might make a lot of enthusiasts rejoice.

Interestingly enough, the new photo shows a device that is not as thin as we might have expected, though no one can be sure about this until it actually arrives on shelves.

As for the hardware specs of this mobile phone, rumor has it that they would include an ARM v7 "Cortex/Scorpion" or better processor, as well as a WVGA display.

Based on the fact that the latest HTC devices came to the market with better application processors, chances are that the upcoming Windows Phone 7 handset would do the same.

At the same time, the new mobile phone is expected to land with 576MB of RAM and with 8GB of internal storage, as well as with a 5-megapixel photo snapper with flash on the back.

However, nothing has been officially confirmed on it for the time being, and we should wait for HTC to announce it to the world before its exact specs are detailed.

Hopefully, those rumors regarding the launch of Windows Phone 7 on the US market in November will pan out, and users would be able to get their hands on this beauty in the coming weeks.
