It's only compatible with devices running Lollipop

HTC continues to launch high-end smartphones like mad, even though they don't seem to sell that well. Competition on the smartphone market is fierce and the Taiwanese company needs anything that could bring its revenue in the black zone.

Just like many other handset makers, HTC has just released a new application that's meant to make its fans more loyal.

It's called HTC Mail and it's only available for HTC smartphones, but we've got a feeling that, if it proves to be popular, it might arrive on other devices as well.

HTC Mail is the Taiwanese company’s take on Gmail, which means that users will be able to check multiple email accounts in one place.

According to the company, “HTC Mail organizes all of your email accounts in once place thanks to compatibility with Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Outlook, Exchange ActiveSync and other IMAP or POP3 accounts.

“It’s simple to add accounts, compose messages, switch between folders and accounts or search for a message. Keep your inbox in check with the easy, intuitive HTC Mail.”

It's still not compatible with HTC One M7

Developers promise that those who decide to download and use HTC Mail will be able to quickly add accounts with the mailbox setup wizard. Switching between accounts and folders from the drawer should be intuitive enough.

The application allows users to filter search results by sender, receiver, priority or attachment. Speaking of which, HTC Mail users will be able to search for messages by subject, sender, receive or content and all fields.

It does come with support for Exchange ActiveSync policies and provides users with the option to create invitations without leaving the application.

You can now download HTC Mail for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with HTC devices powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop.
