HTC M8, the upcoming flagship device from Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation, has been long rumored to arrive on shelves with a fingerprint scanner inside, but it appears that this won’t happen.

According to info coming from @HTCFamily.ru, the feature won’t be present on the phone, despite the fact that it was included in HTC One max last year, and that flagship phones from Samsung and LG are expected to sport it.

Furthermore, said Twitter user claims that the device will hit shelves with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD 1080p resolution.

The smartphone is also expected to arrive on shelves with a new sound enhancer inside and to be capable of scoring no less than 36,500 points in benchmarks (most probably in AnTuTu).

Unfortunately, with no official confirmation on any of these, we’ll take the info with a grain of salt for the time being.
