HTC Corporation, a worldwide leading developer of mobile phones, announced on Thursday the release of its flagship device, the HTC Touch Pro2, in Malaysia. The new handset comes to mobile phone users in the country with an intuitive interface, while also including high-end technology and a wide range of personalization options, not to mention the enhanced Internet capabilities.

The HTC Touch Pro2 comes with the company's TouchFLO 3D interface, which has been integrated and customized to fit greatly with the handset's operating system, the Windows Mobile 6.1. At the same time, users will also have the opportunity to enjoy more consistency through the platform's applications and menus.

The new phone comes with a distinct style and a wide range of productivity options. It features a 3.6-inch widescreen VGA display, Push Internet technology (enabling faster browsing and download speeds), a finger-friendly QWERTY keyboard, and a sliding form factor. In addition, the device also comes with improved battery life, enlarged touch focus areas, as well as with gravity, proximity and ambient light sensors.

Other specifications on the handset include memory card slot for additional storage space, as well as enhanced finger-touch friendliness, fast access to people, messaging, email, photos, music and weather, the HTC Straight Talk technology (meant to provide a high-fidelity voice and sound experience), speakerphone, and a new people-centric communication approach. The fresh Windows Mobile-powered mobile phone is now available for purchase in the country at all authorized resellers for a suggested price tag of RM 3,199.
