HTC HD Mini, the latest mobile phone HTC Corporation launched on the market with Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system on board, has arrived in a new country in Europe, namely Italy. Priced at 399 Euro, the new handset can be purchased from all authorized retailers, offering Italian mobile phone users the possibility to enjoy yet another appealing device that sports the HTC Sense user experience.

The new handset was released into the wild as the smaller brother of HTC HD2, the highly-popular smartphone HTC brought to shelves in the fourth quarter of the last year. Powered by a 600 MHz processor, coupled with 384 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM, the new phone can offer the same experience as the HD2, only in a smaller form factor.

The HD Mini sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen display able to deliver a 320 x 480 pixel (HVGA) resolution, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and video recording, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32 GB of additional storage space. The device comes with a great deal of connectivity options too, including HSPA/WCDMA (7.2 Mbps download speed), Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g), Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate, micro-USB, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, or a built-in GPS receiver.

Other specs and features of HD Mini include G-Sensor, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Windows Media Player, FM Radio, Opera Mobile browser, Facebook integration, photo and video sharing on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, HTC Peep for twittering, animated weather wallpaper, and a 1200 mAh battery that can provide users with up to 435 minutes of talk time or up to 340 hours of standby time. The phone measures 103.8 x 57.7 x 11.7 mm and weighs in at 110 grams.

The HTC Sense solution loaded on top of Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional is another important feature of HTC HD Mini. It was designed to make phones work in a more natural way, and was based on three main principles, namely Make It Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected. With this solution, users can enjoy a series of homescreens on their device, including Home, People, Messages, Mail, Internet, Calendar, Stocks, Photos & Videos, Music, Weather, Twitter, Footprints and Settings.
