Recently, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has announced the launch of a new Android-based smartphone on the market in Hong Kong, the HTC Desire Z, accompanied by the new HTC Sense interface, as well as by the HTCSense.com online portal.

According to the leading handset vendor, the new HTC Desire Z is set to make an appearance on the market in Hong Kong via SiS International Limited, which is the exclusive distributor of the new phone.

“We’re excited to be taking the HTC Sense experience beyond the phone to a whole new level with a series of connected HTC services we call HTCSense.com,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation.

“Our customers will value the holistic approach we’re taking to enhance their mobile experience. This customer-first philosophy has resonated with people buying HTC phones and this drives us to continue introducing new innovative smartphone like the new HTC Desire Z.”

The new HTC Desire Z comes to the market with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, complemented by a QWERTY keyboard that can enable fast typing.

Moreover, the new device comes with support for various social networking sites, including Facebook, Plurk and Twitter, enabling users to easily stay in touch with their friends or family.

The specifications list of this smartphone also includes the new 800MHz Qualcomm 7230 processor that can offer enhanced performance levels, as well as a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities.

“With its quick processor, HTC Desire Z lets users access work emails and calendars with Microsoft Exchange, view Microsoft Office documents, all at the same time. Users can also view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, plus view Adobe PDF files,” the company notes.

HTC Desire Z provides support for more than one email account, so that users can easily access various messages in the same inbox.

“So users can sit back and let HTC Desire Z do all the running around. Desire Z also makes sure nothing slips through the net by prioritising emails or sorting emails by conversation, unread and marked,” the handset vendor states.

Unfortunately, no specific info on HTC Desire Z's price tag at SiS International Limited was unveiled at the moment.
