It offers the two phones for Rs 5200 and Rs 4300 less, respectively

Those of you who live in India and would like to purchase a new HTC One smartphone should consider making the move this holiday season, as HTC has just announced a buyback deal for the device.

As part of a newly launched “Smart Upgrade Offer,” users can get the dual-SIM flavor of the HTC One for Rs 5200 ($83/€61) less when bringing their older device, the company announced.

Furthermore, HTC says that users interested in the purchase of an HTC One mini will also be able to take advantage of a similar deal, though the price cut will be of only Rs 4300 ($69/€50).

According to HTC, the deal is available for all users in India until December 31, 2013. Furthermore, the company also announced that Citibank, HDFC , ICICI , Induslnd bank and Standard Chartered bank card holders can enjoy up to 4 percent cash back on 6 months of EMI.

“These stylish handsets are packed with the same features as of the critically acclaimed HTC One,” HTC India said, a recent post on unleashthephones reads.

“HTC BlinkFeed delivers customized feeds of news, favorite content and social networks live to the user’s home screen, in a gist all of the users’ favorite updates are just a glance away. Users can also listen to their favorite music tracks with HTC BoomSound’s dual frontal stereo speakers.”

HTC One, this year’s Android flagship from the company, arrives on shelves with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display, a quad-core processor inside, 2GB of RAM, and an UltraPixel camera on the back.

The smartphone runs under Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Sense loaded on top, but has already started to receive an upgrade to Android 4.3 around the world, India included.

HTC One mini, on the other hand, packs a smaller size and downgraded specifications, starting with its 4.3-inch screen and going all the way to the dual-core processor inside. However, it still features an UltraPixel camera and the features that HTC Sense has to offer.
