Mobile phone carrier Verizon wireless seems set to further expand its lineup of Android-based handsets with new, appealing devices, and the HTC Incredible is said to be the suited device for that. Moreover, it seems that Big Red's users might be able to enjoy the capabilities of this device sooner than originally believed, as its launch is now reported to have been set at about two weeks from now.

Most of you might already know that the HTC Incredible has been rumored for quite some time now to be on its way to Verizon Wireless, and it seems that we're getting closer and closer to the moment when that happens. And with the specs that this handset is expected to include, there are great chances that it will turn out into yet another popular device available at Verizon.

For those who are not yet familiar with HTC Incredible's specifications, we should mention that it is expected to arrive with a Snapdragon CPU inside, which, although it can run at speeds of 1GHz, has been underclocked to deliver a speed of only 768MHz. At the same time, it also comes with 512MB of DRAM, a large amount of memory (internal plus memory card slot), and about the same dimensions as the Nexus One.

The HTC Incredible is also said to boast an 8-megapixel photo snapper, as well as a 1,300 mAh battery, not to mention that it should run under the Android 2.1 operating system from Google, with the HTC Sense solution thrown over it. In other words, it should pack inside about all the goodies that any Android fan out there expects from such a device.

However, while the HTC Incredible made it to the headlines quite a few times before, it hasn't been officially announced, and its exact specifications are still unknown. Moreover, it still remains to be seen when exactly it should arrive on the market, and what price tag Verizon Wireless plans on attaching to it. Since the launch is said to be near, further info is expected to emerge soon, so stay tuned to learn additional details on this.
