According to HTC

One of the nicest mobile phones that arrived on the market during the ongoing year with Google's Android operating system on board is the HTC Incredible, currently available for purchase via Verizon Wireless. While United States mobile phone users can enjoy the capabilities of this device, it seems that others won't be as lucky, since HTC does not have plans on bringing it to additional markets, at least not to the UK.

The Taiwan-based mobile phone maker recently announced via Twitter that it does not intend to bring the HTC Incredible to the UK. This does not come too much as a surprise, that's for sure, especially since the company has just launched the high-end HTC Desire in the country. Considering that Desire sees increasingly high demand in the UK, it makes perfect sense that HTC will continue to ship this device there, and that it won't launch a competitor to it too soon.

“There is currently no plan for Incredible to go to the UK. Desire, however, is now on the ground in the UK” is what HTC stated via Twitter. Three appealing HTC phones running under Google's Android OS are set to soon be put on sale in the UK, including the already available Desire and Legend, and the upcoming Nexus One.

The HTC Incredible would have been a great option for those looking for a high-end Android device, that's for sure. It packs a large touchscreen display, coupled with an 8-megapixel photo snapper, a slim form factor, a powerful processor, and enough memory to make any user happy. Desire is a great piece of hardware too, though, when compared to Incredible, its 5-megapixel camera might seem less impressive. Even so, UK users cannot complain, especially with Nexus One on the pipe with Vodafone connectivity, and with that Google experience some might be eagerly waiting for.
