The long rumored HTC Incredible is almost officially confirmed for an April 29 release on Verizon Wireless' network. After a long series of rumors and leaks on this handset, the carrier has finally decided it was high time to make its plans official, and placed a teaser page with the Incredible on its website. Currently password protected, the page showed the Incredible (part of the carrier's Droid family) as set for launch on April 29, most probably the date when pre-orders will kick off.

“The next chapter in the Droid saga begins April 29th,” Verizon noted on the staging page for Droid Incredible by HTC, which confirms previous rumors on the handset's release time frame. Moreover, the wireless carrier has already published the full specifications list of the device on its website, something meant to leave no room for further doubts on the matter.

The specifications list of HTC Incredible includes a 3.7-inch OLED touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA) resolution, an 8-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and video recording capabilities, a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor inside, 8GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, built-in GPS receiver, Bluetooth, and more.

The phone measures 4.63 x 2.30 x 0.47 inches and weighs in at 4.59 oz. Its battery can deliver up to 312 minutes of talk time or up to 146 hours of standby time. Running under Google's Android 2.1 operating system, the new handset comes with HTC's Sense user experience on board, and offers integrated Google, Exchange & Facebook contacts.

Most of the specifications HTC Incredible is bound to arrive on the market with have been previously spotted around the web, but no specific info on the handset's price tag has emerged until now. However, it seems that Best Buy will have the handset in stock on April 25 (via phandroid), with a price tag of $599.99 attached to it. While there are little chances the Incredible will be put on sale via the retailer before Verizon makes it available, we might see it on a pre-order status before the end of the month.
