Cellphone users in the United States should soon have a wider array of devices available for them to choose from, including a new Motorola Android handset, some BlackBerry goodness and other smartphones that Verizon Wireless seems poised to deliver to them in the following months. Among these handsets, BGR says that we can count the HTC Imagio and HTC Predator, available starting October and November, respectively.

We've already received bits and pieces of info about the new HTC devices supposedly heading towards Big Red's lineup, as the HTC Imagio is none other than the HTC Whitestone that has been around us for quite some time now, though nothing is official as of yet, while the HTC Predator, expected to hit the market with Google's Android operating system on board, seems to be the HTC Desire, also spotted in the wild before.

The HTC Imagio, as many of you might already know, should include a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display, as well as a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, a 5MP photo snapper with auto focus and video recording, GPS receiver, 512MB of ROM and 256MB of RAM, and support for Verizon’s CDMA/EV-DO airwaves, as well as for GSM. Moreover, the handset is expected to land with Microsoft's upcoming Windows Mobile 6.5 platform packed inside, and to become available starting with October 6, the very same day the OS will reach the market.

As for the HTC Predator, it seems that the presence of the Android platform is the only thing that is known about it for the time being, though more should surface in the near future. The two phones, in case you might not remember, have recently popped up in a report about the new handsets that HTC should deliver in the near future so as to maintain its position on the market.

Along with the two HTC phones, Verizon Wireless is also expected to unleash on its airwaves a Motorola Android device, the Sholes, which hasn't been announced officially yet, as well as the second touchscreen-enabled phone from Research In Motion, namely the BlackBerry Storm 2, which surfaced on the Web a while ago, yet which hasn't received an official release time frame until now.
