Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation might be gearing up for the launch of its long-rumored M7 Android smartphone on February 19, as it has just started to send out invites to a press event set for that day in New York City.

The press conference is set to kick off at 10:00am, MobileSyrup notes, but no specific info on what will be unveiled there has been provided as of now.

However, some recent reports did suggest that February 19 might have been picked as the official launch date for the M7, and all seems to be falling into place now.

The handset is expected to arrive on shelves with hardware specs that would make it fit for the high-end market, including a 4.7-inch HD display, 1.7GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 13MP camera on the back.
