Hot on the heels of leaked schematics for the Windows Phone 7-based HTC HD7, a series of photos with the device have just made it into the wild, complemented by a nice range of hardware specifications for what should become one of the company's nicest smartphones launched in 2010.

Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has been long rumored to plan the launch of a successor for its high-end HTC HD2 smartphone, and it seems that we're getting closer and closer to the official unveiling of that device.

We're referring here to the HTC HD3 handset from the company, which later on became HTC HD7, and which is expected to land on the market under this name.

The smartphone is expected to run under the new Windows Phone 7 operating system from Microsoft, being one of the first such devices to hit the market from the phone maker.

According to the leaked specs list of this handset (available via WMPoweruser), we should expect it to boast a 4.3-inch touchscreen display of WVGA resolution, along with a 1GHz Snapdragon application processor (most probably the QSD8250 SoC that WP7-based HTC Mozart was rumored to pack).

The specifications list of this device should also include a 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p video recording capabilities, as well as 8GB of built-in storage space.

The handset should prove a great addition to the company's offering of Windows Phone 7-based products, but it is rather disappointing that the available memory cannot be expanded, though this is a limitation all WP7 devices would sport.

On the outside, the new smartphone looks as appealing as it can be, and a quick look at the photos available with the device should prove exactly that.

For the time being, no official info on when the HTC HD7 would arrive on the market emerged, though previous rumors suggested that it would be released on O2 Germany's airwaves sometime in late October.

Additional photos with the Windows Phone 7-based mobile phone are available on Mobile01 (via Engadget) here. Keep an eye on this space for more info on the matter.
