Two new software updates are now available for download for the users of an HTC HD2 mobile phone, the HTC Corporation recently announced. The two software solutions, an update for the Java Message Pop up and one for the Facebook Albums, have been released for all ROM versions, the handset vendor revealed, and both have been listed on the company's support page.

When it comes to the Update for HTC HD2 Java Message Pop up, HTC notes the following: “This update for HTC HD2 prevents javascript messages from automatically opening when the message notification pops up. This will prevent your phone from opening unwanted and unwelcome applications that are sent to you.” As for the Update for HTC HD2 Facebook Albums, here's what the company states: “This update for your phone’s Facebook client restores the ability to view your friends’ photo albums.”

Those willing to install one of the new software solutions should do so via a computer running under Microsoft's Windows operating system. Users will also need Microsoft ActiveSync installed on the PC is case it runs under Windows XP, or Windows Mobile Device Center if it runs under Windows Vista. Moreover, the company notes that one will have to connect the device to the PC using the USB cable, and that a synchronization between the two devices will have to be made.

The new updates can be downloaded from the company's support site here, for the Facebook Albums solution, and here, for the Java Message Pop up software. “Copy the update, which is an .exe file, to your device. To install the update, tap the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions,” the handset vendor states. At the same time, it adds that users will have to reinstall the update in case they perform a hard reset of the Windows Mobile 6.5-based mobile phone.
