HTC HD2, the high-end mobile phone the Taiwanese handset maker HTC Corporation has just launched on the market with Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 on board, is now available for purchase from T-Mobile Germany. The handset has been already launched in the UK via Vodafone, O2 and T-Mobile, and now mobile-phone users in Germany can also enjoy the features it comes around with. Moreover, users in Poland could also enjoy the capabilities of HD2 via four carriers in the country, the smartphone maker announced today.

The German wireless carrier T-Mobile lists the new Windows phone on its site as available for a price tag of €599 with no contract agreement required, yet users can also opt for a contract deal with this one. One of the deals includes a price plan of €49,95 a month, which will deliver the handset for €189,95, but other price plans and options are also available, with the price of the HTC HD2 going up to as much as €279,95 on a €29,95-per-month plan.

One thing that is certain here is that users will be able to enjoy a great deal of high-end features with the phone, which put its price tag in the shadow in the end. Thus, we can list here the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, the large, 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 800-pixel resolution, as well as the 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, 3G connectivity options, Wi-Fi capabilities, Bluetooth, support for SMS, MMS, IM and Email, as well as the access to a wide range of services.

Not to mention that the HTC HD2 comes to the market as the first Windows Mobile-based device that sports a capacitive touchscreen, as well as the first Windows phone from the handset vendor to sport its HTC Sense navigation solution, originally developed for its phones that ran under Google's Android operating system. According to HTC, the handset is now available for purchase in Poland via four of the country's wireless carriers, namely Alsen, Komputronik, Euro, and Vobis. The estimated price tag for the new device has been set at 2899 PLN + VAT.

Beware of HTC's large screen phones.
Any force applied to them, even taking off a screen protector, is enough to produce "newton rings" and the screen stops responding to touch.
Not much use for a touch screen phone.
HTC refuse to cover this by warranty and refuse to negotiate. expect to shell out up to $500 to repair it. With no guarantee that the next screen won't do the same thing.
Design or Materials fault but they won't cover it by warranty.
