Out of stock issues seem to appear in more markets than the UK and to affect more devices than HTC's Android-based Desire. HTC HD2, the mobile phone maker's flagship Windows Mobile 6.5-based device, is currently out of stock at T-Mobile US, as the carrier continues to have problems when it comes to keeping pace with demand for the handset.

[Admark=1]As previously reported, T-Mobile had issues with HTC HD2 stock from day one. Even if the device runs under the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, and it won't receive an update to Microsoft's newer Windows Phone 7 platform, users still consider it a great device, hence the “out of stock” status it currently has on T-Mobile US' website.

The HTC HD2 is available for purchase on the United States market via a series of online retailers too, including Amazon, WireFly and LetsTalk, with even more appealing offers than the one put in place by T-Mobile. For what it's worth, T-Mobile and HTC should take advantage of the high demand HD2 enjoys on the US market at the moment, especially since more powerful handsets are expected to soon land on shelves.

It's a known fact that one of the top appealing features HD2 includes is its large touchscreen display, which is coupled with a fast 1Ghz processor and with access to various services and apps unavailable on the model launched outside the US. “Download books, TV, movies and more with the fastest processor speed available. Get the largest touch screen on the market, and you’ll forget it’s a smartphone. A data service is required with this phone,” T-Mobile notes on its website.

Measuring 2.6 x 4.8 x 0.4 inches, the HD2 weighs in at 5.5 oz and packs in a 1230 mAh Li-ion battery capable of delivering up to 6 hours of talk time or up to 20 days of standby time. A 5-megapixel photo snapper with video recording, built-in GPS receiver, Wi-Fi connectivity and a 16GB microSD memory card included in the package are other features that make the device enjoy such high demand.
