One of the latest mobile phones that Taiwanese handset vendor HTC Corporation brought to light at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, is the HTC HD mini. The new device comes to the market with Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system on board, is capable of delivering a similar experience as the one available from the high-end HTC HD2, and also sports the company's HTC Sense solution on board.

“The HTC HD mini sports a high degree of usability along with its own unique and beautiful design. Precision fasteners used to assemble the phone are externally visible, displaying a high level of craftsmanship rarely found in mobile phones. And the strong design ethos continues under the battery cover where a bright yellow internal structure, offers an unexpected surprise when the phone is opened. HTC HD mini includes capacitive touch for viewing, zooming and resizing websites, Microsoft Office files, PDF documents and pictures with just a pinch of your fingers,” the company notes.

The specifications list of the new HTC HD mini includes 3G broadband connectivity options, coupled with hotspot capabilities, offering users the possibility to deliver Wi-Fi at any time to a computer or other device. At the same time, the new mobile phone comes with the same focus on people-centric communication as the HTC HD2 sports, the company notes, adding that the new HTC HD mini includes complete Outlook integration.

The HTC HD mini also packs the HTC Sense user experience, which is focused on putting people at the center through making the device work simpler and in a more natural way. As HTC stated a great deal of times before, the HTC Sense revolves around three principles: Make It Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected, which are the base of the new Sense experience too.

The connectivity options of the new mobile phone are also something that one will enjoy. “It helps you stay close to the important friends and colleagues in your life by providing a single contact view that displays individual communication snapshots of your conversations, regardless of whether it was a call, text, status update or email. HTC’s Windows-based Twitter application, HTC Peep, enables you to tweet and follow your twitter stream,” HTC notes. The new HTC HD mini is expected to land on the market in Europe and Asia in April.
