Less than a week has passed since Best Buy dropped the price of HTC's 7-inch Gingerbread tablet to $300, and the major retailer axes another couple of hundreds from the Flyer's regular price.

Customers can purchase the 16GB HTC Flyer from Best Buy for just $100, assuming they found one in a local store, as the tablet is now sold out online.

Although the slate is stuck with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, those who decided to go for it will not be disappointed as the Taiwanese handset manufacturer is expected to deploy the Honeycomb upgrade in the following weeks.

HTC Flyer is delivered with 16GB storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), a single core 1.5 GHz processor, and HTC Sense user interface.

In addition, the tablet comes with a 5-megapixel main camera with autofocus, as well as a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. UPDATE: It looks like this was Best Buy's mistake, as the retailer issued a "statement" which is now displayed in all local stores stating that the HTC Flyer was incorrectly priced last night.
