One day after officially unveiling the HTC First, aimed at Facebook addicts, a handful of carriers have announced that they will offer the smartphone in the coming weeks.

We know that AT&T will be launching the HTC First on April 12 for as low as $100/€75 with a new two-year agreement or $450/€350 outright.

The smartphone will be exclusive to AT&T in the United States, while in the UK, EE (Everything Everywhere) will be the only carrier to offer the HTC First.

Unfortunately, the UK-based carrier has not offered any details regarding the phone’s pricing options and availability.

However, EE has confirmed that HTC First will come packed with exclusive stuff, such as EE Film which combines 2 for 1 cinema ticketing, listings, trailers and digital film downloads in one place.

Customers willing to commit to a long-term contract upon purchasing HTC First will also benefit from a discount of £5 per month on EE Fibre Broadband, Fast track customer service by dialing ‘33’ from their handset and Clone Phone Lite service, giving users free storage to back up content on their phone.

“We’re proud to have been chosen by Facebook and HTC to be their UK launch partner for the HTC First. In combining our unique superfast network with the latest integrated Facebook experience, customers will constantly be at the centre of conversations with their friends,” said Pippa Dunn, chief marketing officer, EE.

HTC First will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, integrated with the new Facebook Home UI.

Hardware-wise, the First is far from being impressive, but it wasn’t intended anyway. It comes equipped with a 1.4 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the phone sports a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, as well as a 5-megapixel rear-facing photo snapper. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
