In two weeks’ time, the first smartphones in the world to pack quad-core application processors will be unveiled, and HTC is expected to make official the very first of them.

Rumor has it that the Taiwanese handset vendor will launch its quad-core HTC Endeavour smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and some info on what the device could include has just emerged.

Endeavour is said to pack a Tegra 3 chip inside, a 1.5GHz CPU, while featuring a large 4.7-inch screen on the front, capable of delivering a 720p resolution. Moreover, it will pack 1GB of RAM, along with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

The phone’s specs list also includes a 1.3 Megapixel front facing camera, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0, and Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
