United States users interested in the purchase of a new mobile phone have now the possibility to get one of the latest Android-based devices, the HTC EVO Shift 4G, for only $89.99 if they acquire it from Amazon Wireless.

Launched in early January for $149.99 on contract, the HTC EVO Shift 4G was made available for purchase via Amazon for only $119.99 last week, and has got its price tag slashed to only $89.99 a few days ago.

Sprint customers looking for the acquisition of this device would see it listed with any of these price tags, depending on where they make their purchase from.

For example, Sprint is still listing it at $149.99 on its website, while Wirefly offers it for only $119.99, while Amazon has it at the aforementioned cost. Of course, all of these offers would require the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the HTC EVO Shift 4G is the third smartphone running under Google's Android operating system that lands at Sprint with support for the carrier's 4G WiMAX network.

With 3.6-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 800 x 480 pixels resolution and a QWERTY keyboard sliding from beneath it, the HTC EVO Shift 4G seems like a great option for the carrier's customers.

The handset can offer appealing features to its users, including support for Sprint's 3G and 4G networks, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g capabilities, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS receiver, and a 3.5-mm headphone jack.

The specifications list of this Android mobile phone also includes a 5-megapixel photo snapper, as well as 2GB internal storage, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, with a 2GB card included in the package.

The same as other smartphones from Sprint, HTC EVO Shift 4G comes with Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV and Nascar Sprint Cup Mobile. Moreover, it offers a series of Google services, including Google Search, Maps Navigation, Gmail or YouTube, along with access to the Android Market for downloading and installing applications.
