Although details about HTC EVO Design 4G's specs sheet along with several pictures have already leaked a while ago, the smartphone appeared in a press shot only recently.

The first press picture spotted by the guys over at Pocketnow, show the Sprint variant of the smartphone, which means its release date is not that far away now.

HTC EVO Design 4G is also known as HTC Kingdom and is expected to be launched at Sprint and U.S. Cellular.

However, the U.S. Cellular version of the phone is likely to be known as the HTC Hero S, rumors claim.

As for the smartphone's hardware, it's not that impressive, but the Taiwanese handset manufacturer can mingle with the device's configuration by the time it goes on sale.

We should also take into consideration that the phone's specs sheet leaked several months ago, which means this is old news and HTC might have already improved it, or not.

According to the leaked ROM that contained some of technical specs of the HTC EVO Design 4G, the smartphone will be delivered with Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread on board.

The device is equipped with a single core 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM7630 processor, an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit and a 4-inch qHD capacitive multi-touch display.

Furthermore, the EVO Design 4G packs 768MB of RAM under the hood, as well as a 5-megapixel camera with HD (720p) video recording capabilities and a secondary 1.3-megapixel front facing camera for video calls.

In addition, the handset features a range of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0, which is said to support FM Receive and FM Transmit.

Unfortunately, details about the phone's price and release date have yet to be determined, but with the first press photo of the HTC EVO Design 4G already leaked, we should expect an official announcement soon.
