As expected, Sprint has started to take pre-orders for HTC EVO 4G LTE, though the carrier has yet to announce the smartphone’s availability.

Only customers who are willing to commit to a long-term contract can now pre-order the HTC EVO 4G LTE for $199.99 USD (€155) with a new two-year agreement. Sprint did not disclose the phone’s no-term price.

However, it appears that the folks over at Phandroid have received numerous reports from customers who pre-ordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE and were met with messages that confirmed that their devices would be shipped around May 15.

Given the fact that it will take around 1 to 3 business days until the pre-ordered EVO 4G LTE devices are delivered, we can safely assume that the smartphone will go on sale at Sprint around May 18.
